Connecticut Financial® LLC (“Connecticut Financial,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit ctfservices.com (the “Site”), how we use and share that information, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

A Note for Clients

This Privacy Policy covers your use of the Site. If you are a client, the personal financial information collected in connection with securities and investment advisory services offered through MML Investors Services, LLC is governed by the MML Investors Services, LLC Privacy Notice, which is provided to clients and available at massmutual.com. Federal law, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, governs how that information is protected and shared.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you submit a contact form, request a conversation, or email or call us, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device characteristics, operating system, referring URLs, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This information is collected through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies and is used to operate, secure, and improve the Site.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and schedule conversations you request
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
  • Analyze how visitors use the Site so we can make it more useful
  • Protect the Site and our visitors against fraud, unauthorized activity, and misuse

5. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information collected through the Site only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, and generally no longer than two years, unless you become a client, you ask us to keep it longer, or a longer period is required by law or regulatory recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. Where deletion is not practical, for example in backup archives, we store the information securely and isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.

6. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot promise absolute security. Please access the Site from a secure environment and keep your own devices protected.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us personal information, please contact us at info@ctfservices.com and we will delete it.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we have collected about you through the Site. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, using information you have previously provided, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights. You may also authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of that authorization.

9. State Privacy Rights

California residents. California law permits residents to request, once per calendar year and free of charge, information about the categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes, if any, and the identity of those third parties. California residents may also request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, request deletion or correction of that information, and direct us not to sell or share their personal information. As stated above, we do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.

Connecticut and other state residents. Residents of Connecticut and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or sales of personal information. We honor requests from residents of these states as described in Section 8. Please note that personal financial information we collect as part of a client relationship is regulated under federal financial privacy law and the MML Investors Services Privacy Notice rather than these state laws.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. No uniform standard for recognizing these signals has been adopted, so the Site does not currently respond to them. If a standard is adopted in the future, we will update this Policy.

11. Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to websites we do not operate, including the client portal and pages operated by MML Investors Services and MassMutual. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be noted on the Site. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
