Ray Kubick

CF Founder, CEO

For over 31 years, Connecticut Financial®, and its predecessor company, Ray Kubick and Associates, have provided comprehensive, sophisticated financial advice to lifestyle-pressured doctors, attorneys, business owners and Wall Street executives.

Such advice includes legal, accounting, investment and tax considerations designed to helping protect and intelligently grow client assets during both the accumulation and retirement years. Ray also aims to simplify his clients’ financial lives by developing easily accessible, coordinated financial plans. Leveraging the extensive resources and market research capabilities of the prestigious Mass Mutual Financial Services Network, Ray is able to provide the best available advice derived from intelligent interpretation of the latest market conditions, delivered in an easily digestible, straight-forward manner.

Due to the comprehensive nature of this servicing, prospective Connecticut Financial® clients are considered on a referral only basis. However, initial consultations are complimentary to determine if there is a mutual fit, particularly since Ray believes advising a family, business or individual on their financial matters is a very private affair.

Ray has earned a series of degrees and certifications, holding a B.A. from Quinnipiac University, and is a Certificated Financial Planner and Wealth Management Advisor. Ray’s exceptional leadership, knowledge, and client service style have also earned him distinction within the industry as being among a select group of advisors practicing at the top of their profession.

Rob believes conservative, strategically based retirement plans are critical to a worry-free retirement, regardless of current and future market conditions. Rob also actively gives back, having served as National President of the Walter Camp Football Foundation and as a Wish Grantor for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut.

Pete Holmquist

Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor

For more than 37 years, Peter Holmquist has advised high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families through every kind of market. His career began at Goldman Sachs before he founded and ran his own institutional firm on the floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange for nearly three decades, and most recently he served as a fiduciary advisor at Merrill Lynch.

That range gives Peter an uncommon perspective. He understands the complexity of institutional markets and the deeply personal nature of family wealth, and he brings both to bear on behalf of his clients. At Connecticut Financial, Peter delivers comprehensive, coordinated financial strategies spanning investment management, portfolio construction, tax planning, retirement, and estate planning, consistent with the firm’s belief that advising a family on their financial matters is a very private affair.

Peter holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and a Connecticut Life & Health Insurance license, and is licensed in CT, NY, NJ, FL, GA, and SC. He earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan, where he competed as a Division I varsity swimmer in the Big Ten Conference.

A Norwalk, Connecticut resident, Peter and his wife Lynn cherish time spent hiking, skiing, and traveling with their four adult children.

Geoff Croteau

Financial Advisor

Geoff is a financial advisor with nearly two decades of experience helping families and business owners build comprehensive financial plans tailored to their insurance and investment needs. A core focus of his practice is creating retirement income strategies designed to help clients feel confident about retirement and their financial future. What sets Geoff apart is his ability to build meaningful relationships with the people he serves and maintain them over time.

Outside of the office, Geoff is committed to being the best father and husband he can be. Geoff also represents the organization Mission 22, supporting the fight against veteran suicide.

Geoff is an avid fisherman who travels across the continent in search of unique fishing adventures, and he has his sights set on earning his charter captain’s license. When he isn’t out on the water, you’ll find him camping in his RV or cheering on the Red Sox and Patriots.

Cory Clair

Financial Advisor

Cory advises high-net-worth individuals, business owners, professionals, and families across the country, helping them bring clarity and coordination to complex financial lives. His practice encompasses holistic financial planning, estate planning, risk management, business-owner strategies, and advanced wealth solutions, including self-directed brokerage accounts and premium-financed life insurance.

Cory’s work within the complex employer-sponsored retirement plan space—particularly those offering Self-Directed Brokerage Account (SDBA) options—includes advising individuals affiliated with organizations such as Cleveland Clinic, Amazon, Baptist Hospital, Florida Retirement System, Miami-Dade Deferred Compensation, University of Miami, New York University, Cornell University, and Charter Communications, among others.

His commitment to this work is deeply personal. After losing his mother to cancer at age 47, Cory gained an early appreciation for the importance of being prepared for the unexpected. That experience shaped his belief in thoughtful planning and protection — principles that continue to guide the way he works with clients and their families today.

Originally from Queens, New York, Cory now lives in Miami and spends summers in New York to remain close to family. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, fitness, travel, and time with family and friends.

Andrew Reese

Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University. Following graduation, he held various roles in corporate finance and accounting before joining the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served his country for six years. Both experiences have been foundational to his work today, carrying forward a sense of discipline, and both operational and analytical aptitude.

Outside of work, Andrew is an avid college- and professional-sports fan and enjoys music of all genres. He plays guitar and golf in and can often be found spending time with his family—his wife, Nicole, and their three children, Kai, Jaxon, and Isla—in their hometown of Miami, Florida.

Christopher “Nick” Lee

Investment Advisor Representative

Nick has spent more than 11 years helping medical professionals, C-suite executives, and closely held business owners navigate the complexities that come with building and preserving wealth. Through comprehensive wealth management and financial planning, he takes the time to understand not only where his clients are today, but where their careers, businesses, and lives are headed — helping them make thoughtful decisions along the way.

Born and raised in Guyana, South America, Nick moved to South Florida to continue his education and build a career in finance. He earned a bachelor’s degree in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and a Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University.

Nick’s areas of focus include holistic financial planning and wealth management, buy-sell agreements and succession planning, business evaluations, asset protection strategies, and retirement income planning. His approach is rooted in long-term relationships and a deep understanding of the many moving pieces that can shape a client’s financial life, particularly for executives and business owners.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys golf, pickleball, and spending time with his wife and their three children. An avid car enthusiast and self-described foodie, he’s also always on the lookout for a great new dining experience.

Roy Perez

Director of Business Development

Roy leads business development and market strategy across the firm while maintaining an active advisory practice. For nearly two decades, he has focused on helping financial advisors build and grow their businesses.

That conviction comes from experience, not theory. Roy entered the industry in 2008 with nothing behind him: he lost his mother, a schoolteacher, when he was twenty, his father spent a career in factory work near minimum wage, and his own first job in the business ended in failure. He rebuilt at John Hancock, a firm he chose because it served teachers, and worked with teachers, cops, and firefighters while outworking everyone around him.

When he saw talented peers failing, he began teaching them what he was learning the hard way, and discovered his real work, leading advisors across the state in all areas of business development and marketing.

Roy still practices what he teaches. He maintains an active advisory practice alongside his leadership role, built on a simple approach: learn everything about a person, understand what matters to them, and help them get it. He is known for two rules that apply to advisors and families alike: goals must be meaningful and doable, and if you take care of the little things, the big things take care of themselves.

Roy is based in South Florida. In honor of his mother, he keeps an open door for teachers, who can reach him about anything at all. His mission, in every room he’s in: to make a positive impact on the people around him.

Chris Cesare

Chief Executive Officer

Strong firms are built on clear thinking and steady leadership — qualities Chris Cesare brings to Connecticut Financial, along with three decades at the highest levels of the financial industry.

Following Rocaton’s acquisition by Goldman Sachs, he served clients within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He later co-founded Vintris Wealth and has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut and Fairfield University, and as an adjunct instructor at the University of New Haven.

As Chief Executive Officer, Chris works closely with Connecticut Financial’s advisors, sharpening the strategy and thinking that let them do their best work for the families and business owners they serve. His approach is consistent and unhurried: understand the problem fully, then act with purpose.

A husband and father of four, Chris devotes time to his community and studies sport history, with a particular interest in vintage baseball, for the lessons it offers on resilience and leadership.
